The Rising Voices of Politics, DC is a people-powered, community-rooted organization committed to building a Washington, DC that works for everyone. We believe democracy is strongest when everyday residents are informed, engaged, and empowered to shape the policies that affect their lives. Through civic education, advocacy, and grassroots engagement, we uplift voices too often left out of decision-making and work to advance equity, dignity, and opportunity across every ward of our city. Our work is grounded in the belief that when communities rise together, DC rises with them.
RVOP's Mission
Our mission here is very simple. We all want a Washington, DC that works for everyone! We have a mission to ensure a fair, flourishing region where public policies ensure that all people can live in dignity, have access to good housing, schools, parks, jobs and transportation, and reach their fullest potential as human beings.
RVOP's Vision
Our vision is to see a Washington, DC led by a transparent, trusted government committed to building a community institution that involves thousands in creating, influencing and changing public policy that is inclusive to all of its residents including the unhoused.
